Mary Brogna’s large acrylic, watercolor and mixed media paintings are expressive abstractions filled with energy and vibrant color. Her work is about the creative process itself, a personal response to the organic natural process in nature and life. Born and educated in the Boston area she holds a Master of Arts degree from Lesley College. She has worked extensively with artists and clients to free the creative process in their work and lives. A professional artist since her early twenties, she exhibited and won numerous awards on the East Coast. She studied design, visual thinking and contemporary art at The De Cordova Museum School and visual and environmental studies at Harvard University. She founded The Center for Creative Endeavors in Lincoln, Ma. offering a wide range of courses, groups and workshops. She was artist in residence at Lesley Arts Institute Colloquiums and at the De Cordova Museum Education through Art Program. Through her art she became interested in psychology, completed graduate school at Lesley and did post graduate work in the arts and psychotherapy. She worked at her studio in Lincoln until 1995 when she relocated to Sedona, AZ and finally to Cornville AZ.
